Doors division

The Doors division comprises the Prüm-Garant Group acquired in 2007 which, with its production plants in Weinsheim (Rhineland Palatinate) and Ichtershausen (Thuringia), is among the leading manufacturers in Europe of interior doors and door frames. The Prüm-Garant Group was able to win substantial market share in the declining interior doors market in Germany while profitability remained high.

With its specialist retail brands “Prüm” and “Garant”, the Group consistently pursues a two-brand strategy. In particular the concentration on the distribution channels of the specialist retail trade and building supplies trade in combination with the strategic focus on full-range trading meets with a very positive response from customers.   

Sales markets

About 90 percent of revenues are generated in Germany, the remaining 10 percent in the neighboring countries.  Efforts are under way to ensure a continuously growing export volume in the future..

The Prüm-Garant Group is a high-quality company that handles resources with extreme care. This becomes apparent in particular in the use of solvent-free varnishes, the limited consumption of wood, water and energy as well as the strong motivation of employees.

The Prüm-Garant Group offers a broad range of interior doors for single- and multi-family dwellings as well as the renovations market. The product range includes standard doors, design doors, period-style doors and solid doors in various versions as well as functional doors offering protection from smoke, noise and external hazard as well as sliding and glass doors with special surfaces. The combination of function, design, quality and technology has been optimized over more than 30 years.

Door frames

Within its comprehensive range of interior doors, the Prüm-Garant Group manufactures matching door frames from wood or steel for each door, creating the potential for innumerable combinations in terms of material, shape and fittings for maximum individuality in every style.
